Jennifer Linnaea was raised near a Very Tiny Forest in Collinsville, Illinois. As a child she enjoyed reading, creating alien cultures in her mind, and disappearing into the Very Tiny Forest for hours on end. Her first short stories were co-authored at slumber parties and shamelessly involved everyone she knew.
Jennifer’s fiction has appeared recently in Strange Horizons, Daily Science Fiction, and Lady Churchill’s Rosebud Wristlet. Her favorite topics are aliens and language, and the novel she’s currently working on involves both of those.
When not writing, Jennifer works at a library, studies Japanese, and practices Aikido. She’s also been a research scientist, bicycle superhero, personal growth workshop assistant, and landlord, not necessarily in that order. She lives in Eugene, Oregon.
